Calling all Regina vapers, especially shop owners!
A proposed by-law is in the works to ban vaping indoors and in public spaces.
Let's not let this get to the extent of Ontario's Bill 45.
Saskatoon had a similar fight not long ago, which ended in a small victory for vape shops: an exemption from the indoor vaping ban.
Public spaces, well...ok. Not everyone will enjoy a cloud of vapour blowing past their face. Indoors...well, to an extent this is fine, as not everyone will enjoy a cloud of vapour floating across their meal. However, disallowing vaping inside vape shops (i.e. testing flavours) is counterproductive. In no way should we be okay with sending our customers outside (in the cold this time of year!), 30+ feet from the door, with a tester tank each time they want to try a flavour.
Contact the city council. Contact the mayor. Educate them on vaping and it's importance to you. Explain the importance of being able to test flavours indoors at your favourite vape shop.
*DO NOT* let our city council push through an outrageous ban on this life saving product/technology.
For now, use the contact form below (see link) until I can find all the email addresses and phone numbers for Regina's City Council. Choose the "ALL Councilors" option. And especially, keep it clean and professional!
