POD or “ultra-portable systems” are a step above the simple pen systems. They are cartridge based systems that are much more versatile in terms of liquid-capacity and power.

The pods or replacement cartridges contain the coil and wick. When your coil is burnt out, simply fill a replacement cartridge and you are on your way. In some cases, these cartridges are pre-filled, such as the STLTH.
